What's NEW in Synjeco !!

Samuel Gawith closed his Factory

Samuel Gawith merges with Gawith Hoggarth

The last news from the Lakelands: in the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the two traditional factories Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth, the reunification as one is done, with effect from 18 March 2015.

According to the letter written by the last Managing Director of Samuel Gawith (see download), machines and manpower from Samuel Gawith will be moved to the Gawith Hoggarth infrastructure. Also we are informed that the Samuel Gawith Brand will continue to exist.

However: the official letter says: ...the Samuel Gawith brands will continue to be manufactured, with little or no change to that which you have become familiar...

We all tobacco lovers know that "the same" is not always "the same", even when it is produced in the same way, with the same machines, etc.
For this reason we ordered a large amount of your favorite Samuel Gawith tobaccos, made in the "old" factory: the Kendal Brown House.

We will offer this "last" stock to the usual conditions as long as there will be, on a first-come-first-served basis.

Here you can see the official letter from Samuel Gawith: Samuel-Hoggarth Merger Document

Old London Series - SIXPENCE

Sixpence

Sixpence is a rich flake comprising a base of beautiful red virginias, a generous portion of perique, and just a bit of dark-fired leaf to add body and dimension. The tobaccos are delicately kissed with special spirit, then pressed and aged in cakes before being sliced and tinned. The taste and aroma are deep, full and satisfying, reminiscent of traditional tobaccos from long ago.
